How to use rhythmic breathing during meditation:
For example I will explain the 4 4 6 rhythmic breathing technique.
During meditation breathe in slowly for 4 seconds, then hold the breath for 4 seconds, the release the breath slowly for 6 seconds. You can use any count that you want for the number of seconds that you are breathing in, holding, or releasing your breath, but this count is a good one to start using.
If you are new to meditation you may notice that while meditating thoughts will fill your head. It important not to ignore these thoughts, but also not to give the thoughts too much attention either. After meditating for a while the goal is for your mind to be thoughtless. This is attainable, but may take some time. Our thoughts and thinking too much can cause stress in life and no one wants any added stress in their life.
Rhythmic breathing can add a sense of calm to ones life, especially when it is used during meditation. If used during meditation it can help one fall asleep quicker. This would help many people because there are a lot of people in the world who have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep.
